Board-certified in cardiology, he provides comprehensive care to adults with heart rhythm disorders. Dr. Ahmed has a special interest in diagnosis and treatment of atrial fibrillation and flutter and ventricular tachycardia. During his residency and cardiology fellowship, he served as both chief resident and chief fellow and was named resident and fellow of the year for two years in a row. He then completed advanced training in cardiac electrophysiology, where his passion for medical education led to multiple publications and presentations.
He received his medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University – DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tenn. He completed both his internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He also completed a fellowship in cardiac electrophysiology at St. Vincent Health Indianapolis, Ind.
